R & M Wholesale

In downtown Lafayette there is R & M Wholesale. This is actually a small retail grocery store where you can get a lot of your food and supplies and the prices are reasonable. As it is downtown it is an urban friendly place and helps to alleviate the problems associated with our automobile oriented society. It is not geared toward the healthfood or localfood direction at all though. Here are some pictures inside the place that show what you can get there.

The picture above shows the front of R & M Wholesale. It is on Main Street between 10th and 11th streets. To the right in the picture, next door is Main Street Wine & Cheese which does sell locally produced products like Indiana wines and Indiana cheeses. Main Street Wine & Cheese starting to sell locally produced vegetables too.

Don't drive here, there is not much parking. Walk or use our free trolley, it stops right on Main Street in front of the store. This picture was taken from about the exact spot you can wait for the trolley.
