Right now is the best time to pick nettles to eat, it is better than anything you can buy. Here is a picture I took today of nettles coming up near North River Road. Pick off the tender tops of these plants. Use gloves so you don't touch them directly else you'll get their sting. Throw them in boiling water and they lose their sting and turn into super tasty and healthy food. Revert back to being a hunter-gatherer today.
