Local Foods: How to Eat Locally
Thursday, April 02 2009, 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Kristen Serrano, Master Gardener, and owner/operator of La Scala Restaurant in downtown Lafayette will speak about the importance of eating locally grown foods and where to find them. Ms. Serrano has recently moved to the country, acquired goats and chickens, and started a big garden.

Organic Garden: Using Natural Pest Control
Thursday, April 09 2009, 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Join Kevin Cooley as he talks about organic gardening, his farming experience, and especially how to manage pests naturally, without pesticides. Kevin and his wife Tracy are the owners/operators of the Cooley Family Farm, an organic vegetable farm on the corner of State Highway 26 and County Road 900 E.

Lasagna Gardening with Master Gardener Lynn Layden
